Brian Harvey was born in 1978 in Toronto. In 2000, after studying fine arts at Sheridan College, he enrolled in The Art Centre at Central Technical School, graduating in 2003. Harvey currently lives and paints in Toronto.

"My paintings are studies of the commonplace and the typically mundane. Through responsive marks I aim to create an entirely new visual experience. I enjoy moving paint around and am always trying to find a balance between brushwork and the illusion of space."
